Three directors, three trips and three views. The filmmakers venture up in an unknown country in search of inspiring characters. All the stories have completely different base-arguments, but are intertwined by a common element, almost imperceptible, but fundamental.
Kanimambo, which means thank you in Shangana, local language, tells, in the first person, three stories about the different experiences that the filmmakers had in Mozambique, a country marked by the civil war stigma, sequelae of Portuguese colonialism, poverty and disease where men and women are everyday heroes with a single objective: to fight for a better life.
